Baby Animals in the Sea
Baby Animals In the Sea
Summary:
Baby Animals In the Sea is a 14 page board book featuring only animals in the sea. The book is very simple to read and follow with text on the left side of the page and an amazingly realistic animal photograph on the right side of the page. As each spread only features one animal, it is easy for any child to follow along.
The book is written with information not only about a specific animal but also features some fun noises and actions. For example the page about the Otter. The book writes that the otter likes to "snuggle" and play "hide-and-seek".
Pros:
- Animals of the sea
- Board book
- Realistic animal photographs
- Fun to read
- Interactive words
Cons:
- Nothing
Suggestions:
- Since this is a book about a specific category, you can play a category game with you little one. Get some Land Animals and Sea Animals. After mixing them up, go through each of them individually and have your child sort them between animals that live in the water and animals that live on land.
- If you are reading it to a really young child, act out some of the action words. For example the sea lions like to soak up the sun. Your child can lay down like a baby sea lion and pretend to be enjoying the sun light.
Age Range:
- Birth - 4
- Child interested in animals
- Child learning categories
Bottom Line:
If you and your child like to read, this is a great book. This is a well written book of amazing animal photographs featuring 7 amazing baby sea animals. There is a lot to be learned from this book from the baby animals names to their sounds and actions.
